After five months of renovation and a lot of anticipation, Gilmer is cutting the ribbon on its new corporate headquarters at 598 Third Street in downtown Macon on June 23rd. We want the people who have been part of our story to be there to celebrate with us.
A Space Built for What’s Next
The new headquarters is about 8,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed workspace, built around the way our team actually works. Open collaboration areas, lounge spaces, and an outdoor workspace with a kitchen give our people a place that reflects the kind of company we are working to build: modern, approachable, and serious about attracting the best talent in the industry.
“Our new facility reflects our commitment to Middle Georgia and to our own growth,” said Satu Mehta, CEO. “In addition to providing an exceptional workplace for our team, we want this opening to announce to business leaders across the region that Gilmer is ready to grow and offer superlative logistics support to both established and growing partners.”
The location was no accident. Sitting at the intersection of I-75 and I-16, 598 Third Street puts us exactly where a logistics company should be, close to the freight corridors that connect our clients to the Southeast and beyond, and just a short distance from our existing half-million square feet of warehouse space on Weaver Road.
A Big Year to Mark It
We could not have picked a better year to open a new headquarters. 2026 marks Gilmer’s 40th anniversary, and the past twelve months have been among the most significant in our history. We brought on a new executive team. We acquired PowerOne Logistics, giving our clients access to freight brokerage services across North America. We expanded our regional trucking capacity. And we are in the final stages of rolling out a new enterprise-wide technology platform that will bring greater visibility and consistency to every facility we operate.
The new office is one more piece of that momentum, and for us, it represents something important: a commitment to Macon, to Middle Georgia, and to the idea that this region is becoming one of the most strategically valuable logistics markets in the country.
Come Celebrate With Us
The ribbon cutting ceremony takes place on Monday, June 23rd, at 598 Third Street in downtown Macon. We will have remarks from our leadership team, tours of the new space, and plenty of time to connect.

Fleet Expansion Grows Gilmer’s Local and In-state Capabilities
In addition to our recent acquisition of the PowerOne freight brokerage network, we are excited to share that we have also expanded our asset-based trucking operations, increasing regional delivery capacity by more than 30 percent as part of a broader push to offer our clients a more complete, in-house logistics solution.
The additional capacity strengthens our ability to handle local and in-state freight, including full truckload, LTL shipments, and final-mile delivery throughout Georgia. The expanded fleet gives us more flexibility to respond quickly when volume spikes or timelines tighten.
The trucking expansion works in tandem with our recent acquisition of PowerOne Logistics, a national freight brokerage. Together, the two capabilities give clients a single logistics partner for transportation at any scale: our trucks handle regional needs, while the brokerage operation manages freight moving anywhere across North America.
“As trucking capacity tightens across the industry, customers will place greater value on reliable transportation partners,” said Satu Mehta, CEO. “Expanding our trucking capabilities positions Gilmer to meet that demand while strengthening our ability to deliver turnkey supply chain solutions from warehousing to final delivery.”
The expansion is one of several investments we are making in 2026 as we work toward our goal of doubling in size over the next five years.
Expanding Our Transportation Services With PowerOne Acquisition
We are proud to announce the acquisition of PowerOne Logistics, a boutique freight brokerage firm with 19 years of experience connecting shippers to carriers nationwide. The transaction, completed February 1, extends our service offerings to include freight lanes spanning the continental United States and Canada, a capability that previously required clients to look outside their logistics partnership.
PowerOne operates as a non-asset-based freight broker, matching customer freight with a national carrier network rather than maintaining its own fleet. Combined with our existing asset-based trucking operations, which handle local and in-state freight and final-mile delivery, the acquisition gives clients a single point of contact for transportation at any scale and distance.
“Our clients trust us to simplify their supply chains, and that trust extends to transportation,” said Satu Mehta, CEO. “This acquisition empowers us to extend our transportation footprint across the entirety of North America and provide our customers with even more comprehensive logistics services.” To lead the division, we have named industry veteran Eddie Gonzalo as Brokerage Director. Eddie brings more than a decade of experience to the role and will oversee integration of PowerOne’s operations alongside an upgrade to the division’s billing, tracking, and transportation management systems. We plan to grow the PowerOne division fivefold within three years as part of a broader goal to double the size of the entire company within five years.
Gilmer Hosts Historic Macon Foundation
Gilmer was proud to host the Historic Macon Foundation for their annual meeting on the evening of May 5. The meeting and awards ceremony were held at our soon-to-open corporate headquarters building in Downtown Macon.
More than a hundred guests were in attendance as the organization presented its 2026 Preservation Awards. These awards are given in recognition of significant building or restoration projects across Macon.
The Historic Macon Foundation’s meeting was our first opportunity to show off our new office space at 598 3rd Street. The 8,000 square foot facility has been undergoing renovation since January 2026, and a ribbon cutting is scheduled for June 23.
